Why are we Indians are passionate about cricket ?? Why do we make a hell lot of a fuss when the team performs badly , forget all those when we win a significant match , make superstars in a day and burn their effigies the next ? Have been wondering a lot about this for the last few days/months/years ..
The only answer I could get ( had got this answer a lot b4 – but watching the last two days 20-20 matches just confirm my beliefs ) is given below ……
No other team can produce such sensational wins ( or for the matter losses ) as those by Team India.It is this consistent inconsistent performances that makes them play like a champion team one day and novices the next day . Can any other team produce such inconsistent performances over a longer period of time except Pakistan ? ( But Pakistan cricket was , is and will be hounded with bigger problems than performance , that takes the sheen and limelight away from their performances ).
Anyway , yesterdays match will be specially etched in my mind. Never have I seen such intensity ,aggression and fervor in Indian cricketers faces , the icing on the cake was Karthicks catch and Sharmas runout that came after the pathetic fielding in the 7 ODI’s in England and the matches be4 yesterdays . Not to forget , the disciplined bowling (forgetting the wides).
Hope this match paves the way for the Indian future as beating a full fledged SA minus Kallis in the absence of the top 4 of Indian cricket (Yuvi..u r in the top 4.. it surely is a flattering complement from me ) .
Funny and strange are the ways of life --sometimes u perform better when the main players are missing …
But then , that is life and its nuances…
Team India…we are with u…If u give ur best shot , success wil surely follow..as shown yesterday..
