Yesterday I had a rather interesting call at my office extension.
It was from my bank who had called up to verify the details I had mentioned in my credit card application form.
The transcript went on like this almost exactly: (B stands for the bank officer who sounded a middle aged lady in a typical South Indian accent).
( the words after ‘in red show my comments or thoughts at that point of time..sorry if I am following VB syntax ..the language I am using in programming now)
B:Good afternoon, Sir.
Me: Good afternoon.
B:Who am I speaking to?
Me: Suhail.
B:Full name , sir please?
Me:Muhammed Suhail
B:Where am I calling you up? ‘ Have u invited me for a date earlier?
Me:Excuse me , I didn’t get you.
B:Sorry sir.this is from xxxx Bank credit card division. We would like to verify the details you had mentioned in your credit card application form
Me : Ok,carry on.
B:Where am I calling you up? ‘ Again the same thing …
Me:Can you be more clear please?
B:I mean , where are you now ?
Me:Am at office now.You have called up at my extension . ‘She’s speaking as if she randomly picked up a number and called me…
B:Can you give me your details once again , sir?Your postal addresses , office , permanent and temporary.
Me: xxfdofsssdfsdfsdf ‘ phew..that was a long one
B:Can you please give your office , home and mobile numbers?
Me: mxncjvhdfjvhdjvhdjkf ‘phew..that was a long list too..
B:So you are at your office now?
Me:Yes… ‘for the second time I think..
B:So if I call you at home now , will you be there at your home? ‘stumped .. or say, clean bowled !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me:WHAT??? I told you I am at my office now...
B:Yes sir..
Me:So if I am there at my home , wil I get 2 credit cards?
B: Oops <>… ‘realizing the mistake
Thank you Sir for your valuable time .We wil let you know details soon. Have a nice day.
I still wonder whether this question is a part of their verification protocol….
Am still awaiting my credit card.

Of toothache , chocos and pregnancies..
I am having a bad tooth ache since Wednesday, and this is no doubt due to the large amounts of chocolates I eat.. the Snickers, Bounty , Vochelle and Twix are irresistible.. The tooth affected is on the left side in my mouth.. and whenever I plan ( refer my last blog ! ) to not eat any more chocos , the temptation is irresistible as much as the intolerable pain.. And then I resolve to eat it with the teeth on the right side only.. but nature has groomed me to eat most of the times with the left side mostly..and when the bad tooth gnaws into the yummy nuts in the Snickers bar, a spasm of pain passes through the entire body of mine signaling me to pass the choco on to the other side..mm…I should have taken care not to have eaten so much chocos when I was a kid..the pain is unbearable.. Mum, I must have listened to you …
This reminds me of English playwright George Bernard Shaw’s famous saying. He once commented that “Toothache is much more painful than labor pain”. When asked y , he replied “ If any1 happens to have a toothache, he prays for it to get cured and never for it to return. If labor pains were painful , then why would women give birth again and again ..?? ” I have no option but to agree with him…
Which also brings me to another thought, in fact a Food for thought —
[ If chewing gums like Orbit and Protex have anti-Tooth decay agents , why not incorporate those agents into chocolates as well??? This can save jaws of millions of children world wide .. as well as make us eat those without any fear..thereby increasing their business..]©
Any1 hearing this??? Hoping for the best…

Thats life......
Just as I thought I would start blogging on a nice topic without any welcomes, work has already been endowed to me by my project co-ordinators...and the magnitude of this work easily exceeds all the work i have done so far... hmm...Thats life...I think i have experienced this more than others..I plan for something very well in advance , and then i see all crashing at the last moment , crashing at 10 times the speed of take-off, mostly in personal life scenarios .. On most of such occasions i feel i wont plan anything again.. but I have now realized that theres a big planner than us , and its Him who can make it work or crash ..
I have heard some say "Well - planned is half done " , but whoever said that phrase .. pls lemme know what defines "WELL" in the "well-plan" .. At this rate , I am bound to land up in any "well" than planning well .. Until next time ... Ciao ..
